This song was inspired by something my friend Sive Bird said many years ago. I asked her to help me with a lyric or a poem... I started "Thank the conductor who stamped your ticket, as you stepped into this verse" and she completed it "with a pretty ditty to lull you softly from those electric caves." I've thought about that a lot over the years when contemplating the various shit holes I've lived in and how architecture is oppressive and I want to go live in a hole in the ground and all that jazz.
